This position is responsible for managing HVAC and plumbing construction projects, including planning, supervising, executing, and completing assigned work. The Senior Project Manager leads project teams and ensures projects are delivered effectively within cost, schedule, quality, and safety parameters.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage multiple commercial mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects of varying size and complexityEnsure timely completion of projects within budget and in compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirementsMaintain and monitor general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts/subcontracts before, during, and upon completionCollaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize, and schedule project work and ensure compliance with contractual documentsCreate project schedule of values, budgets, and cost code structuresPrepare and submit progress payment applications and review subcontractor payment applicationsPrepare and submit change orders to secure compensation for scope, design, or schedule changesOversee project financial performance, including billings, revenue tracking, forecasting, and cost controlReview cost-to-complete projections and prepare monthly financial reportsIdentify cost reduction opportunities and drive margin improvementsReview contracts and subcontract agreements to ensure compliance and accountabilityNegotiate equipment and PVF buyouts for assigned projectsCoordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracts and maintain records in accordance with accounting policiesCollaborate with the design team on design-build/design-assist projectsCoordinate with BIM, prefabrication, and field teams to support project executionEnsure proper safety policies and procedures are followed in coordination with company safety standardsOther duties as assignedDirectly supervise Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project EngineersDevelop and mentor staff and support team developmentEnsure project teams adhere to DynaTen’s financial requirements and project documentation standardsDrive accountability, consistency, and alignment across project teamsMaintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teamsRepresent DynaTen in a professional and positive mannerManage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, and internal teamsSupport resolution of project challenges, including schedule conflicts and performance issuesEnforce accountability without micromanagementPromote employee retention and a positive team environmentRequired Qualifications8-10+ years’ experience in project management with a mechanical and/or plumbing contractor or related construction firmExperience managing $20M+ projectsConstruction Management, Mechanical Engineering degree desired or equivalent relevant work experienceMinimum 8 years experience reading and interpreting building codes (IBC, IMC, IPC) and local jurisdiction requirements (North Texas region preferred)Minimum 8 years experience working with BIM/VDC coordination, prefabrication strategies, and commissioning processesMinimum 4 years Expertise in GMP, Lump Sum, and Cost-Plus billing contractsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsMinimum 8 years experience in supplier and subcontract negotiationsProficiency with COINS or similar cost tracking software, Procore, Autodesk Liquid Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera, and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong sense of accountabilityPass a background check, drug screening, and MVR checkWhat you can expectExceptional health, dental and vision insurance.Paid Employee Only Medical CoverageIn house and manufacturer led training, and leadership developmentLong-term career growth into operations, sales and/or leadershipComprehensive benefit package and employer sponsored memberships401k matchPTO and Holiday PayAnnual incentive programStable workWorking ConditionsMust have the ability to perform the duties above in a non-controlled environment.
