Job summary

Hunter Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager to oversee large, complex customer projects in a manufacturing and engineered-products environment. Projects range from $250K to $2M and involve multiple locations, schedules, specifications, suppliers, and terms.

You will coordinate customers, sales, engineering, operations, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to requirements. Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex customer orders or projects across multiple departments and sites.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with follow-up ability.
• Comfortable engaging with customers, vendors, sales, engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer projects from PO acceptance through production, shipment, and closeout.
• Review POs, specs, schedules, terms, and documentation requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and commitments.
• Lead or participate in kickoff meetings, reviews, schedule discussions, and status calls.
• Coordinate project execution across multiple manufacturing locations and internal departments.
• Monitor progress, capacity, and delivery risks with operations and production teams.
• Collaborate with engineering on drawings, submittals, and technical inquiries.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely materials and subcontracted work.
• Communicate project status, questions, schedules, needs, and changes to customers.
• Identify and help resolve schedule, cost, technical, quality, and supply risks.
• Track scope changes and coordinate cost/schedule impacts.
• Maintain organized project files and provide regular updates to customers and leadership.
