Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Austin seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex architectural projects and grow a premier integrated design practice in Texas. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams through design and construction, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and collaborating with Principals-in-Charge on strategy, pursuits, and growth.

A collaborative leader with strong communication and sound business judgment is needed to deliver design excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading large, complex architectural projects.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships while supporting business development.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems, codes, and design standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, invoicing, and profitability.
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, and project management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple large architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, fostering strong relationships built on trust and technical excellence.
• Collaborate on business development activities, client positioning, proposals, and pursuits.
• Develop and manage work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing, and financial performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and owner reps.
• Monitor scope, schedule, and budget while mitigating risks.
• Ensure projects meet client goals for program, budget, schedule, quality, and design intent.
