Stantec in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to lead mechanical design and BIM coordination for large-scale projects. You will drive Revit models, develop MEP layouts, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors through design and construction phases.

The role requires strong BIM leadership, constructability expertise, 8+ years in mechanical design, and excellent communication to guide junior staff and ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive mechanical design experience at the senior designer level.
• Demonstrated experience leading mechanical design and BIM efforts on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM workflows and mechanical codes.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage mechanical drafting and design for multiple large-scale projects.
• Lead groups of designers on complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate mechanical design activities across multiple buildings on site-based projects.
• Develop mechanical models in Revit and publish coordinated models to cloud-based collaboration platforms.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues to project-specified tolerances.
• Coordinate with vendors on large equipment selections and mechanical room development.
