Job summary

Jobot in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial tenant improvements from $50,000 to $2 million. This in-office role requires weekly travel to Los Angeles for meetings and coordination with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and scopes, and lead RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement while ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction, with tenant improvement experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently within the $50,000-$2 million range.
• Proficiency with Procore is required.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
• Ability to travel weekly to Los Angeles for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through closeout, ranging from $50,000 to $2 million in value.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Oversee procurement, buyout, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and lead project meetings, including weekly meetings in Los Angeles.
• Track project progress, identify risks early, and implement solutions to keep work on schedule and on budget.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
• Manage project documentation and reporting within Procore.
• Collaborate with field superintendents to ensure quality control and timely delivery.
