Job summary

Flooring Solutions, Inc. (FSI) is seeking a hands-on Sr Project Manager in Livermore, CA to establish and operate its project management function.

You will oversee commercial flooring installations from bid award through closeout, coordinating materials, installers, subcontractors, and documentation to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Beyond project execution, you will develop processes, systems, and standards to scale the PM department, improve coordination across departments, and

Qualifications

• Three or more years of project management experience in commercial flooring, construction, specialty contracting, or a related trade.
• Interpretation of plans, specifications, contracts, and construction documentation.
• Experience with ERP or project management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve workflows, and establish accountability.
• Interest in business operations and growth.

Responsibilities

• Review bid packages, contracts, plans, and specifications from Account Managers to confirm project scope and requirements.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with Account Managers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Account Managers, installers, and clients, keeping all parties updated on progress, delays, or changes.
• Coordinate compliance documentation, safety program acknowledgments, and OSHA certifications.
• Manage submittals and project documents: product samples and specs, drawings, MSDS sheets, and contact sheets.
• Track change orders and confirm proper acknowledgment.
• Submit material orders to Purchasing and confirm delivery ETAs.
• Coordinate material deliveries with vendors, the warehouse, and jobsites to provide customers with delivery confirmations and schedule updates.
• Create work orders for warehouse pull slips and installers.
• Confirm labor costs align with estimated costs on work orders.
• Communicate with in-house installers and subcontractors to confirm scheduling, staging, and manpower needs.
• Maintain the master installation calendar and project tracking system across all active jobs.
• Arrange and participate in job walks, pre-construction meetings, and punch walks as necessary.
• Prepare closeout packages, including warranties, maintenance guides, manuals, and final signoffs.
