Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide strategic, technical, and managerial leadership for complex engineering projects. You will manage client relationships, oversee planning and execution, and mentor project staff to ensure quality, schedule, and profitability.

Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams, developing scopes and budgets, and supporting business development while maintaining hands-on involvement on key projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state(s) required to support project work.
• 8+ years of engineering and project management experience in relevant service areas.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal client contact to foster repeat work and long-term partnerships.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of multiple complex projects with quality, schedule, budget, and profitability goals.
• Develop and negotiate project scopes, budgets, schedules, proposals, and contracts.
• Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams, including mentoring staff.
• Oversee project financial performance, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve technical deliverables to ensure standards and client requirements.
• Perform or oversee QA/QC, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Lead or support business development efforts, including pursuits, RFQs, proposals, and account growth.
• Represent the firm in meetings with clients, agencies, boards, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to firmwide design standards and operational excellence.
• Balance client needs with internal priorities to maintain satisfaction and profitability.
