Job summary

General Kinematics Vibrating Equipment in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams through the complete lifecycle of capital equipment projects—from order through installation and commissioning. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
• MBA or PMP certification is a plus.
• 5–10+ years of experience managing complex industrial projects, preferably capital equipment, machinery, or heavy manufacturing industries.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for capital equipment orders, including design, manufacturing, shipping, installation, and commissioning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and customers throughout the project.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, field service, and quality.
• Lead project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and regular status updates with stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure all customer requirements and contractual obligations are met.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and reporting using project management tools.
• Support project financial performance through cost tracking, change management, and invoicing milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement in project execution processes and tools.
• Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the GK WAY program.
• Utilize analytical skills and experience to make independent decisions.
• Foster cooperation and collaboration among team members.
