Job summary

Michigan State University in East Lansing is seeking a Project Manager II for Planning, Design, & Construction to lead complex building projects from initiation through closeout. You will develop delivery strategies, direct design and construction teams, and ensure stakeholder requirements are met.

The role includes acting as the owner’s representative, negotiating contracts, tracking budgets, coordinating inspections, and ensuring adherence to MSU Construction Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of related construction management experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project delivery strategies for complex projects.
• Lead design team activities and coordinate bidding processes.
• Negotiate contract terms and manage project documentation and budgets.
• Communicate progress via reports, minutes, and submittals.
