Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil and bridge construction in Connecticut. You will own projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and clients to deliver complex transportation projects.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil/bridge projects, strong scheduling and budgeting skills, and proficiency with project management software and MS Office. On-site work in CT with a safety-focused, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing heavy civil, highway, bridge, or transportation projects.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with construction project management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead heavy civil and bridge projects from planning through completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, costs, and forecasts.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field operations, materials, and equipment.
• Manage project logistics and ensure resources are available when required.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and contract compliance.
• Conduct site visits and work closely with Superintendents and field personnel.
• Identify and manage project risks, changes, delays, and contractual issues.
• Review and maintain project documentation, reports, submittals, and schedules.
• Communicate regularly with owners, engineers, DOT representatives, and subcontractors.
• Help drive efficient project delivery and identify opportunities for process improvement.
