Job summary

PMA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large redevelopment programs at Washington Dulles International Airport. You will partner with clients and PMA leadership to drive project delivery, governance, and strategic outcomes, while guiding multidisciplinary teams through design, construction, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive project/program management experience in AEC.
• Experience managing full lifecycle: feasibility, procurement, design, construction, commissioning, closeout.
• Aviation construction experience strongly preferred.
• Expertise in governance, program controls, and strategic risk planning.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, planning, and executive reporting.
• Deep understanding of construction processes, scheduling, cost control, and contract management.
• Risk mitigation, QA/QC oversight, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; multi-year funding and lifecycle cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle from feasibility through closeout.
• Serve as a strategic liaison to executive clients, stakeholders, landlords, and regulators.
• Create governance frameworks and enterprise delivery protocols.
• Lead complex stakeholder ecosystems with political, environmental, and commercial interests.
• Define performance metrics including KPIs and earned value frameworks.
• Drive issue resolution and decision gates with minimal escalation.
• Champion lessons learned and PMA methodology advancements.
• Lead the Project Management Team (PMT) to successful delivery.
• Facilitate client meetings, write RFPs, interview designers/contractors, determine scope, and execute contracts.
• Other duties as assigned.
