Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes Advanced Technology team in Boston seeks a Staff Project Manager to lead the pre-charter intake, prioritize opportunities, and drive them into New Product Development in a regulated medical device setting.

You will own the integrated project plan, budget baseline, EVM tracking, RAID management, and change control, coordinating across software, systems, and regulatory partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years project management in regulated medical device/robotics environments.
• Experience with phase-gate, QMS, and design controls.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across software, systems, hardware.
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 820.30 / ISO 13485 design controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor design engineers and CAD staff.
• Manage pre-charter funnel and intake process.
• Plan and execute integrated project schedules (WBS/IMS).
• Oversee budget baselining and EVM tracking.
• Ensure regulatory submissions readiness and design controls.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams.
