Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Sr R&D Program Manager based in Boston, MA to lead the Navigation software platform across multiple projects and workstreams. This senior role partners with software, systems, cybersecurity, and clinical teams to drive prioritization, release planning, and governance in a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities include establishing platform cadences, coordinating RAID items, and delivering executive-facing updates and tradeoff recommendations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program or project leadership in regulated product development.
• Experience leading multi-project programs across cross-functional organizations.
• Experience with Class II or III medical devices, navigation, robotics, or software-enabled systems.
• Experience leading phase-gate execution, software release governance, design controls, and cross-functional decision processes.
• Strong background in medical device software development and/or surgical navigation systems.
• Excellent executive communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Navigation software platform program, aligning strategy, priorities, and execution across projects and workstreams.
• Own platform-level governance, prioritization, sequencing, and decision forums across the portfolio.
• Establish the platform operating cadence: PI planning, release planning, reviews, and governance routines.
• Develop integrated platform plans, milestones, and interdependencies to ensure delivery against objectives.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to align RAID items and platform view for leadership decisions.
• Resolve cross-project conflicts and advise on investment tradeoffs and roadmap adjustments.
