Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Staff Project Manager Advanced Technology to lead the pre-charter funnel and manage complex projects in Digital R&D. You will coordinate software, systems, and hardware teams, drive risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout design controls and documentation.

Based in Boston, MA, this role advances innovative orthopaedic and robotic solutions, with a strong focus on delivering reliable, scalable technology within a regulated medical device

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in regulated medical device or robotics
• Experience with phase-gate execution and design controls in a QMS environment
• Strong cross-functional leadership across software, systems, hardware, and regulatory teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and RAID artifacts

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor design engineers, CAD designers, and documentation specialists
• Oversee pre-charter funnel and intake processes for advanced technology projects
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across software, systems, external partners, clinical and regulatory teams
• Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO13485/IEC60601 and quality system requirements
• Develop and manage IMS/WBS, budgets, and project reviews for regulatory submissions
