Job summary

AV Hiring USA is seeking a Senior A/V Integration Project Manager in Wixom, MI to lead large-scale, multi-site A/V integration projects with high visibility. You will drive scope, schedule, and budgets while mentoring junior PMs and partnering with leadership to advance the team’s capabilities.

The role requires deep knowledge of A/V systems, strong leadership, and proven experience delivering projects over $1M.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in A/V integration, construction, or related technology industries.
• Minimum 8 years of team leadership or management experience.
• Proven leadership capabilities.
• Strong working knowledge of A/V systems including signal flow, control systems (Crestron, AMX, Biamp, Extron), DSPs, and conferencing.
• Experience managing projects with budgets over $1 million.
• Excellent client relationship management at executive level.
• Proficiency with Wrike or similar PM tools and Excel.
• Experience with AIA docs, submittals, change orders, and project schedules.
• Understanding of construction methods, low-voltage systems, and jobsite safety.
• Experience with General Contractors on construction and integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-value, multi-site projects with scope, schedule, budget, and quality accountability.
• Advise executive-level clients and build long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, programming, procurement, and installation teams to ensure design intent and standards.
• Manage project financials: budgets, margins, revenue forecasts, and risk mitigation.
• Conduct project kickoffs and executive progress reviews.
• Ensure closeout deliverables including as-built docs and warranty handoffs.
• Monitor client satisfaction and drive improvements to achieve NPS goals.
• Mentor Project Managers and Associate PMs in project execution and client management.
• Develop and enforce departmental best practices, tools, and processes.
• Identify operational improvements to boost delivery efficiency and profitability.
• Resolve high-level issues and client escalations professionally.
• Work with Sales for smooth handoffs and cross-team collaboration.
• Participate in post-mortems and implement actionable improvements.
• Represent PM function in leadership meetings.

Summary

The Senior A/V Integration Project Manager (Sr. PM) is responsible for leading the successful delivery of large-scale, complex A/V integration projects with high visibility and impact. This role combines advanced technical expertise, strategic leadership, and executive-level client management. The Sr. PM not only drives profitability, mitigates risk, and ensures delivery excellence but also mentors junior PMs, shapes best practices, and partners with leadership to advance the Integration team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-value, complex, multi-site, or multi-phase projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive-level clients, building long-term relationships and influencing strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, programming, procurement, and installation teams to ensure design intent and technical standards are consistently met in the field.
• Drive project financial performance: manage budgets, track margins, forecast revenue, and elevate risks such as cost overruns, claims, or back charges.
• Facilitate formal project kickoff meetings and executive-level progress reviews with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Ensure comprehensive project closeout, including as-built documentation, final deliverables, warranty handoffs, and lessons-learned reporting.
• Monitor and proactively improve client satisfaction, supporting Net Promoter Score (NPS) goals through responsiveness, issue resolution, and professionalism.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers and Associate PMs, providing guidance on project execution, client management, and professional development.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of departmental best practices, tools, and processes.
• Proactively identify operational improvements and recommend enhancements to strengthen delivery efficiency and profitability.
• Resolve high-level project issues and client escalations with diplomacy, professionalism, and solutions-focused communication.
• Work in close partnership with the Sales Team to ensure seamless project handoffs, clear communication, and shared accountability for client satisfaction; foster positive collaboration to minimize friction and strengthen cross-team synergy.
• Participate in project post-mortems and deliver actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Represent the Project Management function in leadership meetings and cross-departmental initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience within A/V integration, construction, or related technology industries.

• Strong working knowledge of A/V systems, including:

• Demonstrated success managing complex projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.
• Experience developing and maintaining executive-level client relationships.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
• Proficiency with Wrike Project Management and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing AIA projects and associated documentation, including drawings, submittals, change orders, and project schedules.
• Understanding of construction methods, low-voltage systems, and jobsite safety practices.
