Job summary

Avidex is seeking an experienced AV Project Manager to lead integration projects from planning through completion in a fast-paced environment. You will be the main point of contact for customers and coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to manage multiple projects and drive successful outcomes for diverse commercial AV

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of project management experience in the AV/IT industry or related technical field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain AVIXA CTS certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to obtain PMP certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple AV integration projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Serve as primary contact for customers during project execution.
  • Develop and manage project schedules balancing scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
  • Coordinate internal resources, installation teams, subcontractors, vendors, and procurement.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues to stay on track.
  • Lead implementation teams and maintain accountability.
  • Collaborate with estimating and engineering during planning, site surveys, and handoffs.
  • Maintain project documentation including notes, schedules, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and closeout docs.
  • Coordinate logistics, equipment deliveries, and installation schedules.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and OSHA regulations.
  • Attend meetings and trainings; pursue ongoing professional development.

Position Summary

The audiovisual (AV) Project Manager is responsible for managing audiovisual (AV) integration projects from planning through completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution and works closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to scope.

The audiovisual (AV) Project Manager oversees project schedules, coordinates resources, manages documentation, resolves issues, and keeps customers informed throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of commercial AV integration projects while partnering with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Attend customer meetings, project reviews, safety meetings, and required training.
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of project management experience in the AV/IT industry or a related technical field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and project schedules.
  • Ability to obtain an AVIXA CTS certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to obtain a PMP certification within one year of hire.
  • Willingness to travel as project needs require, including occasional overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing commercial AV integration or low-voltage technology projects.
  • Experience working with construction teams, general contractors, architects, and consultants.
  • Current AVIXA CTS and/or PMP certification.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
