Your Impact

As a Senior Project Manager at Verogy, you will play a critical leadership role in driving the successful execution of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility-Scale solar projects from early-stage development through engineering, procurement, construction, and final commissioning. You will lead high-value, complex projects while mentoring junior project managers and optimizing project delivery strategies.

Your expertise in budgeting, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory compliance will be essential in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with Verogy's clean energy goals.

This role is based in West Hartford, CT, with a hybrid work model combining remote work and in-office collaboration. Candidates should expect to work in-office at least two days a week for meetings and team engagement. The first 3-6 months may require higher on-site presence for training.

Your Role

• Oversee the full project lifecycle for multiple large-scale solar projects, from development to commissioning.
• Provide strategic leadership in project planning, execution, and risk management.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations, ensuring compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
• Act as the main liaison for senior leadership, clients, investors, utilities, and regulators.
• Evaluate and improve project delivery strategies for efficiency and cost savings.
• Mentor junior project managers and support their development.
• Ensure compliance with permitting, environmental, safety, and interconnection regulations.
• Negotiate contracts including EPC agreements and vendor contracts.
• Monitor project KPIs and report insights to leadership.
• Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years of project management experience, particularly in solar, renewable energy, or construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or equivalent experience.
• Proven success managing high-value, large-scale C&I and Utility-Scale solar projects.
• Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring teams.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Deep knowledge of permitting, interconnection, procurement, and construction processes.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Procore) and financial modeling software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with attention to detail.
• Understanding of industry standards, regulations, and compliance related to solar projects.
