Job summary

Colliers in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from planning through completion. You are hands-on, organized, and an excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with clients, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

The role requires reading drawings, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating bids, RFPs, permitting, and closeout, and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of construction or project management experience in commercial real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of design, construction, project management, and building systems.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading projects from concept through completion.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong budget, scheduling, financial tracking, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead project teams, manage contractors and vendors, and work effectively with senior-level clients.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Project Management software, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
  • PMP, CCM, or LEED certification is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

  • Conduct site visits and oversee construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Maintain organized project files and ensure complete project closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other project management staff and contribute to business development.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from initial concept through final closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with clients, contractors, design teams, and other project stakeholders. You are a hands-on leader and relationship builder who takes ownership of projects, anticipates problems, and gets things done. You have a strong understanding of commercial construction, know how to manage budgets and schedules, and can effectively bring clients, designers, contractors, and consultants together to deliver successful projects on time and on budget.


In this role, you will...

Pursuant to local law, Colliers is disclosing the following information:


  • Area/Location Specif c: Washington, DC.

  • Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $135,648 to $ 153,282.


Bonus


  • This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.


Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all national locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
