Job summary

Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to lead a large multi-year expansion project in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Based in the region or able to travel regularly, you will oversee planning through commissioning to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and alignment with business objectives. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup with internal teams, contractors, and site stakeholders, leading multidisciplinary teams and maintaining

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of senior-level construction project management experience.
• Experience leading large, multi-year chemical/petrochemical/industrial expansion projects.
• Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area or able to travel there regularly and maintain on-site presence.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable building codes.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project controls: scheduling, cost forecasting, risk management, contracting, procurement, and change management.
• Strong client relationships, communication, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution of a large, multi-year expansion project in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with accountability for safety, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and readiness.
• Develop and maintain the project charter, execution plan, contracting strategy, master schedule, cost forecast, risk register, and change-control process.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup across internal teams, contractors, vendors, and site stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and oversight to project and engineering teams.
• Maintain accountability for project planning, including charters, execution plans, budgets, schedules, and closeout.
• Set team goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop execution approaches, and review progress.
• Build productive relationships with site leadership and stakeholders, communicating status, risks, decisions, and actions clearly.
• Maintain accurate control of budget, commitments, forecasts, cash flow, contingency, and spend.
• Develop staffing and resource plans for each phase and ensure capable internal/external resources.
• Ensure project procedures reflect current best practices.
• Assess the quality and completeness of engineering deliverables.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager with a demonstrated background in chemical, petrochemical, and industrial construction to lead a large, multi-year expansion project in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate will be based in the region or able to travel there regularly and maintain a strong on-site presence. This role will lead the project from planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring it is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives.

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities across internal teams, contractors, vendors, and site stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and oversight to project and engineering teams.
• Maintain accountability for project planning, including project charters, execution plans, budgets, schedules, and closeout.
• Set project team goals, establish priorities, manage resources, develop execution approaches, and review project progress and results.
• Build productive relationships with site leadership, business stakeholders, engineering partners, contractors, and vendors, and communicate project status, risks, decisions, and required actions clearly.
• Maintain accurate control of the project budget, commitments, forecasts, cash flow, contingency, and engineering and construction spend.
• Develop staffing and resource plans for each project phase and ensure the right internal and external capabilities are available as the expansion progresses.
• Ensure project procedures are regularly updated to reflect current best practices.
• Assess the quality and completeness of engineering deliverables.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of senior-level construction project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, multi-year chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or comparable industrial expansion projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area or able to travel there regularly and maintain a strong on-site presence throughout the project.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable building codes.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong command of major-project controls, including scheduling, cost forecasting, risk management, contracting, procurement, and change management.
• Strong client relationship, communication, budgeting, scheduling, and resource-planning skills.
