  • Proven leadership ability with a focus on safety, quality, accountability, and project performance

SUMMARY:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful completion of large-scale industrial construction and capital projects. This role provides leadership across project teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with engineering plans, specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with operations, project controls, engineering, safety, quality, and field leadership while maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage multiple large-scale capital and industrial construction projects within the mechanical, electrical, utility, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries.
  • Provide overall project leadership from planning and execution through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, resource requirements, and construction strategies.
  • Oversee project controls, cost forecasting, productivity, contracts, change orders, and financial performance.
  • Partner with field operations and craft leadership to ensure projects are executed efficiently and according to established plans.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure all project activities meet company and client safety requirements.
  • Lead project teams by establishing clear expectations, accountability, communication, and performance standards.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and challenges while developing effective solutions in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and key project stakeholders.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, client meetings, project reviews, and business development opportunities as needed.
  • Ensure project engineering, quality assurance, quality control, and construction activities align with project specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, providing accurate forecasts and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to support successful project execution.
  • Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, superintendents, and other team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, best practices, productivity improvements, and operational excellence.
  • Support the operational management team in achieving business objectives and strategic goals.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience within industrial construction, mechanical construction, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects in refining, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments.
