LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established maritime company located in Tacoma, WA on the hiring of a Sr Project Manager. This individual will lead projects from proposal development through execution and closeout while working closely with customers, operations and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, management, construction management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in maritime or related industries.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • PMP certification preferred or willingness to obtain within the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from proposal development through execution and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk strategies.
  • Serve as primary contact between customers, operations, engineering, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate execution activities and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Manage costs, forecasts, contracts, and overall project performance.
  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and customer presentations.
  • Review and administer contracts, change orders, and project agreements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to source subcontractors and vendors.
  • Monitor risks and performance metrics; provide status updates to leadership.
  • Support operational planning for vessel usage and project logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environment, and PM standards.
  • Travel to project sites as needed.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established maritime company located in Tacoma, WA on the hiring of a Sr Project Manager. This individual will lead projects from proposal development through execution and closeout while working closely with customers, operations and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects from planning through execution and closeout, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, operations teams, engineering, vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Coordinate project execution activities and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Manage project costs, forecasts, financial reporting, contract commitments, and overall project performance
  • Support and lead proposal development, RFP responses, and customer presentations
  • Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and project agreements
  • Partner with Supply Chain and procurement teams to source and manage subcontractors and vendors
  • Monitor project risks, opportunities, and performance metrics while providing regular status updates to leadership and customers
  • Support operational planning related to vessel utilization, equipment requirements, and project logistics
  • Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental, and project management standards
  • Travel to project sites and customer locations as needed to support successful project execution
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience within maritime, marine construction, offshore services, heavy civil construction, industrial operations, EPC, transportation, or related industries
  • Demonstrated success managing projects through the full project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting through execution and closeout
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and reporting
  • Knowledge of contract administration, change management, and proposal development processes
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to shifting business needs in a dynamic environment
  • PMP certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification within the first year
  • Experience with maritime operations, vessel maintenance, shipyard environments, offshore projects, marine transportation, or construction projects is highly preferred
Benefits Include:
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 120 hours a year with an increase after tenure, 9 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (Washington State). PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
