Job summary

LHH is seeking a Project Manager to lead medium-sized maritime, engineering, or transportation projects from initiation to closeout in Seattle.

You will partner with stakeholders, develop plans, manage budgets and risks, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the project lifecycle. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of PM experience; PMP is preferred; salary range $120k-$155k with full benefits including medical, vacation, 401k and life/disability coverage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree required or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in maritime, engineering, transportation, construction, or related industries.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to define project objectives, success criteria, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans addressing schedules, budgets, resources, contractual obligations, regulatory considerations, and constraints.
  • Serve as primary liaison between customers, project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Manage project execution strategies: planning, resource allocation, procurement, operational readiness, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for leading medium-sized projects or multiple smaller projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. This role serves as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and operational requirements. Projects may involve marine operations, vessel modifications, maritime infrastructure, transportation, engineering, construction, or technical service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, success criteria, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that address schedules, budgets, resource requirements, contractual obligations, regulatory considerations, and operational constraints.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Manage project execution strategies, including planning, resource allocation, procurement activities, operational readiness, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Maritime Studies, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience within maritime, engineering, transportation, construction, industrial services, or related industries.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, subcontractors, and customer deliverables.
  • Experience supporting marine, vessel, offshore, shipyard, or transportation-related projects preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Highlights
  • Salary Range: $120k - $155k
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • This position will accrue 15 days of vacation a year. Accrued vacation will be vested and available for use after successfully completing six (6) months of service. Nine (9) paid holidays with two (2) additional floating holidays available after six (6) months of service. Can accrue 96 hours of sick leave per year.
  • Life insurance equal to two times annual base salary.
  • Accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Long term disability insurance.
  • 401k program with a 4% match, vested immediately.
