Job summary

Commercial Real Estate Company seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager, Construction, to lead planning, execution, and delivery of major capital projects in a Texas market. This senior role acts as the client-facing lead, mentors staff, and sets delivery standards across the portfolio.

You will manage budgets and schedules, coordinate architects and contractors, negotiate complex agreements, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management, including large or complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and risk management.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale or complex construction and capital improvement projects.
• Develop and manage multi-million dollar project budgets and schedules, proactively identifying and mitigating risk.
• Serve as the senior client-facing representative, building and maintaining trust with owners, tenants, and capital partners.
• Direct the selection, contracting, and performance management of architects, engineers, and general contractors.
• Negotiate complex contracts, change orders, and dispute resolutions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.
• Present project status, budget, and risk updates to senior leadership and clients.
• Ensure compliance with entitlements, permitting, and all applicable codes and regulations.
• Oversee project closeout, commissioning, and transition to property management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success managing multi-million dollar budgets and cross-functional project teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction law, contracts, and risk management.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills.
• Established relationships with contractors, consultants, and vendors within assigned markets.
