Job summary

The Senior Project Manager position in Salt Lake City leads Medicaid program projects focusing on budgeting, planning, scheduling, quality, policy and operations from start to finish, including contracts and APDs, serving as liaison with partners and contractors.

The successful candidate will manage multiple complex programs, ensure compliance with state and federal rules, oversee waiver programs such as the 1115 Justice Waiver, and may require on-site duties in a carceral facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of healthcare program management experience.
• A bachelor's degree from accredited institution.
• Medicaid program management experience.
• A program management professional (PgMP) certification.
• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow and or AWS Cloud services.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio, SharePoint and Office Suite.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Working knowledge of program management methodologies.
• Prior experience with managed care, care management, Medicaid population and policies, health information technology and or provider network support.
• Combination of healthcare and CMS regulatory program and certification experience.

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will lead and have overall responsibility for thesuccess of assigned Medicaid programs with a focus on budgeting, planning,scheduling, quality, policy, operations from start to finish. Assist increating contracts and advanced planning documents (APDs) act as a primaryliaison with business partners and contractors. The SPM will manage multiple,complex programs simultaneously and will ensure compliance with state andfederal procedures, policies and regulations, and certifications. Oversee andmanage waiver programs and other assigned programs, including the 1115 JusticeWaiver program. This position may require on-site duties in a carceral facility.

Asa Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Communicate efficiently and effectively.
• Do relevant business partners and contractors regarding risk, goals/visions, tasked to be completed, and all essential information.
• Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely in writing. This may include presenting to community partners, stakeholders, and legislative committees regarding programs and operations.
• Identify an address, potential barriers, risk, and other obstacles hindering the program from moving forward.
• Develop analytical approaches to answer different questions, address challenges, and provide/Present accurate recommendations with a quick turnaround.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary management and senior leadership to achieve outcomes according to department and organization needs.
• Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives and propose quality solutions.
• Use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.
• Create a program plan that includes scope, objectives, timeline, milestone, and deliverables.
• Work with business partners and contractors to complete assigned task(s).
• Ensure all applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and or policies and procedures, including title XIX Of the Social Security Act, and Utah Medicaid program.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex programs, simultaneously.
• Supervise and manage a team of case managers.

Supplemental Information

• An offer of employment will be contingent on the applicant successfully passing a DHHS background check.
• This position is currently a hybrid of two (2) days in-office and three (3) remote work days. Please note, a position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion, at any time, and for any reason.
• Effective July 1, 2021, State of Utah Employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to Utah within 30 days of their start date.
• Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g. safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
• Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
