Job summary

Role Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Project Manager IV to support Reality Labs Research Audio in advancing research and development initiatives focused on spatial audio capture.
• The Project Manager will work closely with research scientists, software engineers, PhD student interns, and cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, track, and report on research projects. This role will also provide procurement and operational support while ensuring projects remain organized, on track, and aligned with broader organizational objectives.
• The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of project management experience, preferably within a research, engineering, technology, or product development environment. Familiarity with spatial audio, binaural audio, audio signal processing, or related technologies is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting for research and development initiatives.
• Support spatial audio capture research projects involving research scientists, software engineers, and PhD student interns.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and status reports.

Required Skills

• 3–5+ years of project management experience, preferably in research, engineering, technology, or product development.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working in a fast-paced research and/or product development environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with programming or technical environments such as MATLAB, Python, C++, Max/MSP, or similar.
• Knowledge or experience with spatial audio, binaural audio, and audio signal processing.
• Experience supporting or coordinating user experience studies is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with research scientists, engineers, technical teams, and broader organizational stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $130,000 in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000 in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
