Job summary

Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies division seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead AIS/GIS substation projects in the U.S. You will drive program execution, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across complex EPC programs.

You will apply PMI methodologies and Siemens Energy practices while coordinating with clients and contractors to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of project management experience in AIS/GIS Substations EPC environments.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI) and Siemens Energy practices.
• Solid technical understanding of high voltage AIS/GIS equipment and electrical engineering principles.
• Financial expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Proven ability to manage risks across complex, multi-project environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and EHS compliance experience, along with an engineering degree (Electrical preferred) and PMP certification; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

As a Senior Project Manager at Siemens Energy, your day begins with a review of project timelines and priorities, followed by a morning briefing with your team to discuss progress and set objectives.

You engage with stakeholders, including clients and contractors, to provide updates and gather feedback, fostering strong relationships through effective communication. Throughout the day, you analyze project financials, assess budgets, and conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.

Regular site visits allow you to oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with safety standards. In the afternoon, you lead project review meetings, collaborating with technical teams to address engineering challenges.

As the day wraps up, you document progress and prepare reports for senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability while driving project success and reinforcing a culture of safety and excellence.
