Ballinger is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager to serve as our primary contact for day-to-day project progress with our Academic, Healthcare, and Corporate clients. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence the firm and advance your career. You will work directly with the firm’s Principals across all project aspects. This high-visibility role provides opportunities for innovation, challenging design, client interaction, and collaboration with architectural, interiors, and engineering disciplines.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead building or discipline delivery internally and externally.
- Collaborate with the Principal to evaluate project requirements, negotiate owner-architect agreements, including fees and schedules.
- Demonstrate expertise and take a key role within the firm.
- Exhibit superior technical skills, dedication, and ownership of work.
- Mentor team members across the firm.
- Manage project scope, profitability, schedule, and budget to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
- Negotiate critical issues with architects, engineers, and officials, in collaboration with Principals.
- Monitor the quality of construction documents, schedules, and budgets, providing coaching as needed.
- Develop and oversee project budgets and timelines.
- Manage correspondence and project documents, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Coordinate review of contractor bids and collaborate on award recommendations.
- Assist in project marketing efforts, including data provision, proposal development, and client interviews.
- Advise on firm standards and participate in process improvements.
- Expand industry networks through trade organizations, events, or conferences.
- Participate in performance reviews and serve as a point of contact with clients.
- Manage daily team operations and coordinate with external consultants and contractors.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Develop knowledge of firm’s project types: healthcare, academic/research, corporate.
- Participate in internal committees and travel as needed for project site visits.
Technical/Professional Skills
- Proven success in major construction, renovation, and interior fit-out projects.

- Leadership and interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience in public speaking, pursuits, and marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- Architectural registration required.
- 15+ years of industry experience.
- At least 5 years in project management.
