Job summary

Jobot Consulting in Pennsylvania seeks a Senior Project Manager for Commercial Doors, Docks, Gates & Access Systems. You will own projects from award through closeout, coordinating labor, subcontractors, materials, and schedules to meet scope and budget.

Candidates should have 5+ years in project management, relevant experience in doors and access technologies, ERP/NetSuite familiarity, and strong client-facing communication.

  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience in commercial doors, loading docks, or access systems is preferred.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial door, dock, gate, access control, and related projects from award through completion and closeout.
  • Coordinate labor, technicians, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and scheduling activities.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, documentation, and status reports.
  • Monitor project financial performance, margins, costs, and profitability.
  • Identify risks and implement proactive solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage commercial door, dock, gate, access control, and related projects from award through completion and closeout.
  • Review project scope, drawings, specifications, proposals, and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate labor, technicians, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and scheduling activities.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, documentation, and status reports.
  • Monitor project financial performance, margins, costs, and profitability.
  • Manage change orders and project scope modifications.
  • Identify risks, delays, and obstacles while proactively implementing solutions.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates with customers.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Client Services, Finance, Vendors, and Field Teams.
  • Manage procurement and material deliveries.
  • Hold subcontractors and vendors accountable to project commitments.
  • Ensure project documentation, approvals, photos, invoices, and closeout packages are completed accurately and timely.
  • Improve project management processes, forecasting accuracy, and customer experience initiatives.Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications Needed
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Strong experience within commercial doors, loading docks, overhead doors, access control systems, gate systems, construction, facilities management, or a related industry.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of project costs, margins, forecasting, financial accountability, and change order management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Experience reviewing project drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing ERP and project management systems; NetSuite experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems proactively and drive projects to successful completion.
