Senior Project Manager, Data Centre
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager, Data Centre to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the successful delivery of data centre projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in project and construction management, coupled with a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of data centre projects, from initial planning and design through to execution and completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in data centre construction and operations.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the project team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on data centre or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Day-to-Day
- Oversee daily project activities, ensuring all tasks are on track and aligned with project objectives.
- Conduct regular meetings with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to review progress and address any issues.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.
- Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage resources, materials, and vendor relationships.
- Resolve conflicts and challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Continuously evaluate project performance and implement improvements as needed.
