Senior Scheduler – Data Centre Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scheduler to join our team and play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of data centre projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in project controls and scheduling, particularly with expertise in Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will bring a meticulous approach to planning, scheduling, and monitoring project timelines, ensuring that all milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for data centre projects using Primavera P6.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and delays, and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present regular schedule updates, progress reports, and forecasts to project stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of project schedules with overall project objectives and contractual requirements.
- Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the impact on project timelines and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of schedules across various disciplines.
- Maintain accurate records of project schedules, changes, and updates for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Scheduler, preferably in data centre or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling principles, and critical path analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in project management or scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP) are a plus.
Day-to-Day
- Collaborate with project teams to gather data and update schedules in Primavera P6.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and progress meetings with stakeholders.
- Identify and address scheduling conflicts or delays, ensuring timely resolution.
- Generate detailed reports and dashboards to provide visibility into project status and performance.
- Support the project team in decision-making by providing accurate and timely scheduling insights.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities within the project schedule.
