Job summary

Imperium Global, a highly respected, employee-owned, multi-$B+ ENR general contractor, is expanding across the Southeast and seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager for its North Carolina team. You will guide high-visibility Food & Beverage and Manufacturing projects from preconstruction through completion.

The role offers leadership across budgets, schedules, risk, and client relationships with a path to Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Senior Project/Preconstruction Manager in a reputable GC.
• Experience delivering Food & Beverage or Manufacturing projects.
• Experience from preconstruction through completion.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and risk-management skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex Food & Beverage and Manufacturing projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Own project budget, schedule, quality, safety, risk, and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead project planning, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost control, and change management.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, negotiations, change orders, and commercial issues.
• Monitor project financials, forecasting, and cost-to-complete throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and client expectations.
• Partner with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
• Support client development and repeat business through exceptional project delivery.
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and other team members.

The business has a strong national presence and a diverse portfolio across Food & Beverage, Distribution, Industrial, Manufacturing, and Mission Critical markets. With a growing Southeast pipeline and reputation for technically challenging projects, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional seeking a senior, high-visibility role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall delivery of complex Food & Beverage and Manufacturing projects from preconstruction through completion.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager with a reputable commercial general contractor.


• Strong experience delivering Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similarly complex projects.


• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion.


• Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, contracts, procurement, and project financials.


• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and communicate with senior leadership.


• Experience leading project teams and managing subcontractor partners.


• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage risk, change, and profitability.


• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
