Position Summary: The Senior Project Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects from inception through completion. This individual leads the project team with a focus on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality results on time and within budget. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and is accountable for maintaining project compliance with contractual, safety, and quality standards. They proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, and implement changes to keep the project on track, while fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Qualifications & Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically expected for this role. ·Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
·8–10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, including at least 3–5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
·Proven track record managing complex commercial or institutional construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
·Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
·Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel).
·OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain).
·PMP or other professional certification is a plus but not required.
Reports To: Vice President
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Senior Project Manager provides day-to-day leadership and oversight for project teams, including direct supervision of Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers. Depending on project size, complexity, and staffing, the Senior Project Manager may also mentor Project Managers on a case-by-case basis.
This role plays an active part in teaching and developing less experienced team members, sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and leadership skills to help build internal capacity and support career growth. The Senior Project Manager is expected to foster a collaborative environment that encourages learning, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
Work Location: This position is located at our Newburyport Office.
