Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Primary Care Quality & Safety Department. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the Director of Quality & Safety Operations and directs multiple complex projects using professional PM methodologies.

The role requires 5–8 years of PM experience, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and strong MS Office skills, with PMP certification strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years related work experience in project management roles.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access) and other web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manages complex projects with minimal oversight and responds quickly to changing issues and priorities involving multiple departments and executive stakeholders.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for project management to project teams and mentors staff and leadership on PM methods.
  • Mentors adherence to project management standards and practices and reviews team deliverables for alignment with PM best practices.
  • Facilitates the process for identifying issues, documents issues, and recommends corrective actions; leads issue resolution and prioritizes priorities.
  • Communicates the status of issue management activities to project teams and stakeholders and engages them as needed.
  • Manages project portfolio and drives organizational change considering obstacles, opposition, and stakeholder priorities.
  • Conducts high-impact data analysis to move projects forward.
  • Independently facilitates high-level meetings with executive team members and relevant stakeholders.

The Senior Project Manager will support the Beth Israel Health Primary Care Quality & Safety Department. This role will report to the Director of Quality & Safety Operations. This is a full-time opportunity, and will be hybrid.

Directs several complex projects simultaneously by utilizing the tools, techniques and methodology of professional project management fundamentals to meet the current and anticipated needs of the organization. Achieves operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

  • Manages complex projects with minimal oversight and responds quickly to changing issues and priorities involving multiple departments and executive stakeholders. Develops solutions that are feasible, cost-effective and acceptable to the present stakeholders.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for project management to project teams. Attends project team meetings to provide guidance, mentoring and coaching to staff and leadership on the day-to-day project management methods.
  • Mentors adherence to project management standards and practices. Reviews team members project deliverables and ensures their work is in-line with project management best practice.
  • Facilitates the project team leader discussion to define the process for identifying and documenting issues in a project and recommending corrective action. Takes the lead in the issue resolution process and identifies project priorities when resolving issues.
  • Communicates the status of issue management activities to project team members and organization stakeholders. Appropriately identifies when to engage stakeholders and initiates engagement independently.
  • Manages project portfolio. Drives organizational change taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities. Acts as a champion for business process changes; acts behind the scenes to craft solutions for business problems related or tangential to the project.
  • Conducts high-impact and complex data analysis to move projects forward.
  • Independently facilitates high-level meetings with executive team members and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years related work experience required, including experience in project management roles.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification strongly preferred with high degree of knowledge of PMP tools, techniques and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor colleagues.
Pay Range

$95,000.00 USD - $135,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
