Job description

The Manager, Nursing Operations is a member of BILH’s System Nursing Team that provides advisory and project management support to high-priority initiatives across both clinical and business domains. The Manager supports a broad portfolio focused on enabling BILH System Nursing team to work effectively, with projects ranging from clinical program integration, operation efficiencies, workforce retention strategy development, and health equity initiative project implementation. In addition to its project work, the Manager is responsible for key regulatory reporting activities for BILH System Nursing Team and leads efforts to quantify the financial impact of integration efforts.
The Manager reports to a VP of System Nursing Operations. Responsibilities include managing projects or multiple workstreams of complex projects, typically involving multiple organizations and departments; collection, analysis, and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data, including in support of regulatory reporting efforts; and, the development of tools and analyses to measure and report on performance. The Manager will collaborate with colleagues across BILH, including Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Strategy, Legal, and Marketing & Communications, as well as operational and clinical leaders across the system’s hospitals and other clinical entities.
Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-priority initiatives through data collection, analysis, project management, and reporting.
  • Manage projects and/or multiple workstreams of complex projects. Provide project management support through the use of project management tools such as SmartSheet. Develop project workplans, sequencing efforts across multi-disciplinary teams and identifying interdependencies. Manage the project to ensure it is delivered on time and on budget. Keep the project team and leadership apprised of progress, escalating any risks or concerns.
  • Design and perform analyses to support decision-making and monitor performance. Independently identify data/information needs and ensure data integrity. Synthesize data/information from multiple sources. Partner with Finance and other key stakeholders to develop financial models to evaluate the impact of proposed initiatives.
  • Support the BILH System Nursing Operations regulatory reporting efforts through the collection and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative information from across the system.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across BILH, including Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Strategy, Legal, and Marketing & Communications, as well as operational and clinical leaders across the system’s hospital and other clinical entities.
  • Develops tools to track and report on performance against goals and identify the primary drivers of performance. Independently build and maintain project dashboards.
  • Support the work of integration-related committees, workgroups, and teams to drive decision-making and support effective communication.
  • Present findings in written, visual, and oral presentations to a variety of audiences throughout the system. Develop visually compelling, data driven presentations to effectively facilitate discussion.
  • Effectively prioritize projects to complete work within established guidelines and timeframe.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

  • Experience: 5-7 years of related work experience

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and critically evaluate information from multiple sources; manipulate and present data in a clear manner; synthesize findings from multiple sources into a coherent narrative; develop visually compelling presentations.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

Pay Range

$70,000.00 USD - $95,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
