Job summary

GH Engage seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of complex ground-up construction projects in the St. Louis and Kansas City markets. You will own schedules, budgets, quality, and safety across industrial and healthcare greenfield builds, coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

You will manage GC operations, bid processes, buyouts, contracts, and safety compliance while mentoring junior staff and driving client relationships. Extensive travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience with GC work.
• Greenfield projects in industrial and/or healthcare sectors.
• Strong GC operations knowledge: estimating, buyout, contracts, subcontractor management.
• Experience managing projects in the $10M+ range.
• Healthcare construction requirements (ICRA, infection control, life safety) knowledge a plus.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Autodesk Build, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Willingness to travel between St. Louis, MO and Kansas City, MO sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead project meetings and provide timely reporting to leadership.
• Mentor project engineers and assistant PMs.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, ground-up construction projects across the St. Louis and Kansas City markets. This role is ideal for a construction leader with a strong background in industrial and/or healthcare greenfield projects and hands-on general contractor (GC) experience, who is ready to take full ownership of project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams — driving schedule, budget, quality, and safety on some of our most technically demanding builds.

What You’ll Do

• Lead full-cycle project management for greenfield industrial and/or healthcare construction projects, from preconstruction through final closeout
• Own project budgets, schedules, and profitability — proactively identifying and mitigating risk
• Manage GC responsibilities including subcontractor bidding, buyout, contracts, and performance oversight
• Serve as the primary client-facing representative, building and maintaining strong owner and design-team relationships
• Coordinate closely with superintendents, project engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment between office and jobsite
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control processes, and applicable codes/regulations (including healthcare-specific requirements such as ICRA/ILSM where applicable)
• Lead project meetings (OAC, subcontractor coordination, internal progress reviews) and provide clear, timely reporting to leadership
• Mentor project engineers/assistant PMs and support their development

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of construction project management experience, including significant time with a general contractor
• Proven experience delivering greenfield projects in industrial and/or healthcare sectors
• Strong understanding of GC operations: estimating, buyout, contract administration, and subcontractor management
• Experience managing projects in the $10M+ range (adjust to your typical project size)
• Working knowledge of healthcare construction requirements (ICRA, infection control, life safety) is a strong plus
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk Build, MS Project)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• PMP, LEED, or OSHA 30 certification a plus
• Willingness to travel between St. Louis, Kansas City, and active project sites as needed
