Scott Humphrey Corporation in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Onsite Project Manager for large-scale mission-critical construction projects. The role is based in the St.

Louis office with initial project in St. Louis and longer-term travel to sites nationwide. You will work closely with Superintendents and trade partners to solve challenges in real time, manage budgets, schedules, safety, and quality, and mentor junior Project Engineers onsite.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor.
• Experience working onsite alongside field teams and trade partners.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, buyout, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage mission-critical construction projects from preconstruction through turnover.
• Maintain a consistent onsite presence and stay connected to daily field operations.
• Partner with Superintendents to manage safety, quality, sequencing, and schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, design teams, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Lead onsite OAC, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, contracts, procurement, buyout, and change orders.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, pay applications, long-lead equipment, and project documentation.
• Coordinate complex MEP systems and project milestones.
• Identify project risks early and drive practical solutions.
• Support and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers onsite.

We're partnering with a leading national general contractor to hire an Onsite Project Manager for large-scale mission-critical construction projects.

This role is based out of the company's St. Louis office, with the initial project also located in St. Louis. Longer term, the Project Manager should be open to traveling to future project sites across the country.

This is a strong opportunity for a field-focused PM who enjoys being onsite, working closely with Superintendents and trade partners, and solving construction challenges in real time.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5+ years of construction project management experience with a general contractor
• Experience working onsite alongside field teams and trade partners
• Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or other technically complex projects preferred
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, contracts, buyout, and change management
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel or relocate to future project sites nationwide
