Job description

The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is responsible for leading the successful analysis, initiation, planning, execution, and closeout of complex enterprise-wide projects. This role will manage Keck Medicine of Client’s implementation of UKG Pro WFM (timekeeping and scheduling), coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and system implementers from kickoff to go-live.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large, complex projects involving healthcare processes, clinical and business applications, infrastructure, and technology.
  • Manage UKG Pro WFM implementation, including system integrators, third-party vendors, and internal teams.
  • Define and baseline project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Communicate effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Oversee project execution and course-correct in-flight projects as needed.
  • Lead through influence, including indirect supervision of employees and direct oversight of contract/vendor labor.
  • Present to executive steering committees and governance groups.
  • Maintain project documentation in PMO repository (SharePoint).
  • Update centralized reports and dashboards (e.g., ITEC presentations).
  • Ensure adherence to PMO processes, methodologies, and templates.
  • Foster positive relationships with project team members and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to PMO maturity by identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Participate in internal PMO meetings and recruitment activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience leading IT projects from initiation to closeout.
  • Experience managing complex implementations with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques (planning, risk/issue management, governance, cost/benefit analysis, change controls).
  • Experience with timekeeping/scheduling implementation projects.
  • Understanding of integrations between multiple IS systems in healthcare.
  • Budget management including forecasting, PO and invoice handling.
  • Experience with data integrations, warehousing, analytics, and dashboard/report development.
  • Business analyst skills in capturing data requirements and design specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience delivering business applications (HR, Financial, Marketing systems).
  • ERP project experience in healthcare systems.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and terminology.
  • Experience with RFI/RFP vendor evaluations and selections.
  • Experience managing healthcare-related projects.
  • Experience in centralized PMO environments.
  • Performance improvement experience (workflow modeling, root cause analysis).
  • Prior experience with Kronos, Lawson, Cerner.
Certifications

PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
