About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale capital projects supporting one of the nation's largest energy providers. This role is responsible for managing projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives.

This is a true Project Management position focused on leading capital projects involving large equipment installations, infrastructure improvements, and construction activities. The ideal candidate has experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, procurement, vendor relationships, and project execution within utility, industrial, EPC, or heavy construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from initiation through closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, budgets, and project performance metrics.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, operations, vendors, and project controls teams.
• Review project schedules, monitor critical path activities, and identify schedule risks.
• Manage procurement activities, contracts, purchase orders, and vendor relationships.
• Track project costs, forecasting, earned value, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare project reports, cost summaries, executive updates, and project documentation.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Ensure projects comply with company standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.
• Support multiple capital projects across equipment replacement, infrastructure, and construction initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience leading capital, industrial, construction, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, scheduling, cost controls, procurement, contract administration, and vendor management.
• Experience leading large equipment installations, facility upgrades, infrastructure improvements, or construction projects.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
• Experience using project controls, cost management, or earned value management (EVM) systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost tracking.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience supporting utility, nuclear, power generation, EPC, industrial construction, heavy industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, or other large capital project environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

PMP Certification and experience with large-scale capital equipment replacement or infrastructure projects are highly preferred.
