Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead commercial TI projects end to end as a player–coach, while supervising PMs and maintaining client relationships. You will drive project profitability, oversee subcontracting, procurements, and change orders, and guide teams toward on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a strong background in commercial interiors and a proactive approach to risk, forecasting, and value engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commercial construction project management.
• General contractor background.
• Tenant improvement / commercial interiors experience preferred.
• Experience supervising PMs or other project staff.
• Estimating, forecasting, budgeting and contract management skills.
• Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365 and scheduling tools proficiency.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Run commercial interiors and TI projects end to end, from Preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the financials: budgets, forecast, billing and cost control.
• Negotiate and administer subcontracts, manage procurement and change orders.
• Drive value engineering and constructability input to stay on budget.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and project records in Procore and Bluebeam.
• Align with superintendents on schedule and field priorities.
• Supervise PMs, APMs and project engineers; mentorship and career growth.
• Lead regular project reviews across cost, forecast, schedule and risk.
• Act as trusted owner/architect/broker/consultant contact to generate repeat business.
• Contribute to business development, including pursuits and proposals.

Job Details

This is a player‑coach role. You'll carry your own TI projects while supervising a team of PMs, keeping their jobs profitable and on track. You'll also be a key face to clients and help bring in new work.

Responsibilities:

• Run commercial interiors and TI projects end to end, from early Preconstruction and Estimating through Buyout, construction and final closeout
• Own the financials: budgets, monthly Forecasting, billing and Cost Control, with a focus on protecting margin
• Negotiate and administer Subcontracts, handle procurement, and manage Change Orders
• Drive Value Engineering and constructability input to keep designs buildable and on budget
• Manage RFIs, Submittals and project records in Procore and Bluebeam
• Align with Superintendents on schedule, sequencing and field priorities
• Supervise a group of Project Managers, APMs and Project Engineers, including workload, performance and career growth
• Hold regular project reviews covering cost, forecast accuracy, schedule, staffing and risk across your group
• Step in on difficult owner, subcontractor or budget situations and teach your PMs to handle them on their own
• Serve as a trusted contact for owners, architects, brokers and consultants, and turn those relationships into repeat and referral work
• Take part in Business Development, including pursuits, proposals, interviews and preconstruction leading to award
• Help leadership plan staffing, pipeline and growth for the interiors group
• Oversee punch, turnover, warranty and financial closeout

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in commercial construction project management
• General contractor background required
• Tenant improvement / commercial interiors experience strongly preferred
• Experience supervising and mentoring PMs or other project staff
• Strong Estimating, Forecasting, budgeting and contract management skills
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365 and scheduling tools
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
