Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technology implementation, enhancement, and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle including planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, escalations, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure projects meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Create detailed project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Develop project estimates and coordinate revisions when requirements change.
  • Monitor performance and address schedule, scope, or budget concerns.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple large-scale, mission-critical technology initiatives. This role will oversee the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of enterprise applications, including a Training Management System (TMS) replacement project and other strategic technology platforms.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex IT projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with business and technical requirements. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination among business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.

Required Qualifications
  • Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification for a minimum of 5 years
  • Copy of active PMP certification must be provided with submission
  • Proven success leading large-scale IT implementation and transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of PMI project management methodologies and project lifecycle processes
  • Experience managing projects with timelines ranging from 8 to 12 months or longer
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience overseeing cross-functional technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
  • Lead complex technology implementation, enhancement, and business process improvement initiatives.

Planning & Execution
  • Create detailed project schedules, milestones, resource plans, and work breakdown structures.
  • Develop project estimates and coordinate revisions when project requirements change.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively address schedule, scope, resource, or budget concerns.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
  • Facilitate project status meetings, stakeholder reviews, and governance activities.
Risk & Change Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID).
  • Develop mitigation strategies and drive issues through resolution.
  • Oversee change management processes and ensure appropriate documentation and approvals are maintained.
  • Escalate critical issues to leadership when necessary.
Stakeholder & Team Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and project sponsors.
  • Facilitate requirements discussions and solution-focused decision making.
  • Communicate project goals, expectations, and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Mentor junior project management staff and provide leadership guidance as needed.
Reporting & Governance
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level status reports, presentations, dashboards, and project metrics.
  • Track project performance against key milestones and service commitments.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project management organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with application development, data, infrastructure, security, networking, and service management teams.
  • Coordinate system testing, training activities, deployments, and implementation readiness efforts.
  • Work with third-party vendors and solution providers to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
