Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Business Management, Public Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and budgeting.
  • PMI training or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the enterprise project manager for assigned projects.
  • Manage projects using established project management methodologies from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate project activities, deliverables, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other professionals supporting assigned projects.
  • Track internal resources and project assignments.
  • Maintain project schedules and monitor deliverables.
  • Prepare regular project status updates and reports for management.
  • Identify and communicate project issues, priorities, and progress.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed according to established schedules and objectives.
  • Close projects in a timely and orderly manner.
  • Document lessons learned and archive essential project documentation.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Consultant to manage and coordinate strategic and tactical project management activities associated with enterprise-level and agency-level information technology initiatives. The successful candidate will manage projects from inception through completion, coordinate project activities and deliverables, track schedules and resources, provide regular management reporting, and ensure timely project closeout and documentation. The role requires strong project management knowledge, excellent communication skills, financial planning and budgeting experience, and the ability to lead and influence stakeholders in a dynamic technology environment.

Primary Skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, best practices, and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of PMI PMBOK terminology and standards
  • Proven experience managing projects from inception through completion

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain an understanding of organizational mission, goals, and objectives

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following or a related field:

Required Certification
