AtkinsRéalis in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Transportation Practice to lead roads, bridges and tolls projects. You will report to the Sr Project Director and drive project planning, execution and financial management across the lifecycle.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s degree, and 15+ years of experience with 5-8 years in direct PM. Expect leadership, client management, and business development responsibilities in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation Practice in Syracuse, NY, reporting to the Sr Project Director, to support the delivery of projects with a particular focus on Roads, Bridges, and Tolls.

Your role

Project Planning & Execution:

• Leads the project team in executing all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Independently develops and manages project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develops and implements comprehensive Project Management Plans.

Financial Management:

• Manages all financial aspects of the project.
• Approves subconsultant and vendor invoices.
• Proactively identifies and manages budget variances and communicates financial performance to senior management.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Serves as the primary point of contact for the client.
• Leads contract negotiations.
• Represents the firm and client at public hearings and regulatory meetings.

Team Leadership & Business Development:

• Leads and directs multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Mentors Project Managers and Associate PMs.
• Identifies new business opportunities and participates in proposals

About you

• Professional Engineer License is required; Bachelor's degree is required; Graduate degree is desirable.
• 15+ years professional experience, 5-8 years of direct project management experience.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $175,000 - $190,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
