Job summary

The ideal candidate will manage contracts, change orders, and RFIs, lead meetings, mentor teams, and uphold safety standards while collaborating with owners, designers, and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget

Role Description

The Senior Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. This role oversees all phases of concrete construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating field operations to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery. Daily responsibilities include managing project documentation, tracking progress against milestones, leading project meetings, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Senior Project Manager reviews and negotiates contracts, change orders, and RFIs, supervises cost control and forecasting, and resolves issues that could impact schedule or quality. The role also mentors project teams, reinforces safety standards, and supports continuous improvement of processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading concrete construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, including schedule, budget, and quality control.
• Strong skills in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate project challenges.
• Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools (such as MS Project or similar), and basic office productivity applications.
• Solid understanding of concrete means and methods, drawings and specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and design professionals.
• Proven leadership capability, including mentoring team members, fostering accountability, and promoting a safety-first culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; equivalent extensive industry experience may be considered.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in commercial or industrial concrete construction is strongly preferred.
• Capability to work on-site in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area and to visit job sites regularly as project needs require.
