About the Role

Lead complex tool-install design projects for semiconductor fabrication facilities, managing scope, schedule, budget, and cross-functional teams to deliver equipment installation, commissioning, and client handover. Use project management expertise and AI-enabled tools to mitigate risks, enforce EHS and cleanroom protocols, and mentor project managers.

Job Description
Role

Senior Project Manager on the Tool Install design team responsible for leading complex, multidisciplinary design-build tool installation and hook-up projects in semiconductor (fab) environments. The role ensures alignment on scope, schedule, budget, and technical standards from equipment specification through commissioning and client handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, define, and manage scope, schedule, and budget for design packages.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of tool install projects from initial equipment specifications and utility matrix development to final hook-up, commissioning, and handover.
  • Develop and manage detailed tool-level installation schedules to meet “First Tool” and “Ready for Equipment” (RFE) milestones.
  • Serve as primary liaison between design teams, trade contractors, and client tool owners to resolve space management, utility routing, and point-of-connection issues.
  • Control project budgets, manage change orders, and ensure procurement of long-lead infrastructure items aligns with installation sequencing.
  • Enforce EHS standards and cleanroom protocols to protect facility integrity and personnel safety.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to utility capacity, seismic bracing, and vibration isolation for sensitive process equipment.
  • Follow change management procedures for documenting and authorizing project changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and apply lessons learned to optimize delivery methodologies.
  • Mentor and train other Project Managers on complex design challenges and project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related) preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience on advanced technology or high‑tech engineering projects (e.g., semiconductor fabs, data centers, pharmaceutical manufacturing) preferred.
  • PMP certification is highly desired.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6; experience with resource loading and critical path analysis is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑cultural and cross‑time‑zone teams and tailor communication/governance to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, conflict‑resolution, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to perform field verifications and site walks in industrial construction environments.
  • Role includes use of AI-enabled tools from day one, with access to industry-leading AI Large Language Models and vibe‑coding platforms to enhance productivity, creativity, and workflows.
  • Salary range: $135,000–$170,000 per year (commensurate with location and experience).
  • Leadership bonus program and ownership investment opportunities.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; employer‑paid life insurance; wellness program support.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Professional development funding, PE licensure and certification exam support, and conference attendance.
  • Generous paid time off plus paid holidays and flexible scheduling within project commitments.
