This organization operates through an integrated platform spanning real estate development, vertical construction, land development, and lending, providing its construction team with broad visibility into the full development lifecycle. This is an opportunity for an experienced construction leader to bring strong technical and project execution expertise to the ownership and development side of the business. The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in driving Atlanta-area projects forward while partnering closely with executive leadership, development teams, contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.

Your Role As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide construction leadership and technical oversight for development projects throughout the Atlanta market. Working from the ownership and development side, you will help drive successful project execution by maintaining a strong command of plans, budgets, schedules, quality, constructability, and contractor performance. This position requires more than project coordination. The successful candidate will be a confident construction professional who can evaluate issues, make sound decisions, hold project partners accountable, and proactively drive solutions when challenges arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide construction leadership throughout preconstruction, design, construction, turnover, and closeout
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation for constructability, coordination, and potential risk
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, quality, and overall execution
  • Oversee and evaluate General Contractor performance against project expectations and contractual requirements
  • Identify construction risks and potential issues early and drive timely resolution
  • Participate in design coordination, constructability reviews, and value engineering initiatives
  • Review change orders, cost impacts, schedule changes, and other critical project documentation
  • Maintain active involvement with project sites to assess progress, quality, field conditions, and potential challenges
  • Coordinate closely with General Contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal development teams
  • Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and key decisions effectively to executive leadership
  • Hold project partners accountable for commitments, schedules, quality standards, and deliverables
  • Take ownership of challenges and drive projects forward in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Qualifications Required Experience & Skills
  • Significant construction management experience with large-scale residential or commercial development projects
  • Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Construction Manager, or comparable project leadership experience
  • Strong technical construction knowledge with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, quality, and risk
  • Strong understanding of preconstruction, constructability, means and methods, and field execution
  • Proven ability to identify problems, make informed decisions, and drive solutions
  • Experience coordinating with General Contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both executive leadership and field construction teams
Experience
  • Multifamily, build-to-rent, student housing, mixed-use, or large-scale residential construction experience
  • Experience working for a General Contractor, developer, Owner's Representative, or vertically integrated development/construction organization
  • Experience managing complex projects through both preconstruction and active construction
  • Previous responsibility for third-party General Contractor oversight
  • Experience within a fast-growing or entrepreneurial development environment
Additional Information
  • This is a direct-hire, permanent opportunity
  • Target base salary of approximately $165K-$175K, depending on experience
