Job summary

Talently in Atlanta is seeking a senior construction and real estate development professional to oversee multifamily and mixed-use projects from design review through execution. You will partner with development, design, construction, property management, and investment teams to deliver high-quality assets on site in Atlanta.

The role requires over 10 years of experience, strong knowledge of construction drawings, change orders, and coordination with tenants and base-building teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a construction-related field.
• Experience with construction drawings and design review processes.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, engineering, and construction drawings to confirm alignment with specifications.
• Support the execution and coordination of multifamily residential and mixed-use construction projects from design through closeout.
• Review, evaluate, and coordinate change orders related to space, scope, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate tenant contractors with base-building teams to ensure sequencing and delivery.
• Serve as a liaison among tenants, engineers, contractors, property management, and development teams.
• Maintain positive relationships with base-building constituents, consultants, contractors, operators, and clients.
• Communicate project information clearly and address tenant and stakeholder requests promptly.
• Travel as needed to meet with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and authorities.

This opportunity places you at the center of multifamily residential and mixed-use construction initiatives, partnering with development, design, construction, property management, and investment teams to deliver exceptional real estate projects. Based on site in Atlanta, you will engage with senior leaders, consultants, contractors, tenants, and other stakeholders while supporting projects from design review through execution and completion.

Responsibilities:

• Review architectural, engineering, and construction drawings throughout each project phase to confirm alignment with specifications, design intent, and development requirements.
• Support the execution and coordination of multifamily residential and mixed-use construction projects across design, preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
• Review, evaluate, and coordinate change orders related to physical spaces, scope, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate tenant contractors with base-building contractors to ensure efficient sequencing, communication, and project delivery.
• Serve as a liaison among tenants, engineers, general contractors, property management, development teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain positive and productive relationships with base-building constituents, consultants, contractors, operators, and clients.
• Communicate project information clearly and ensure tenant and stakeholder requests are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Travel as needed to meet with clients, stakeholders, consultants, government authorities, contractors, and operators.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, architecture, or a related field.
• 10 or more years of experience in real estate investment, development, property management, multifamily residential, mixed-use construction management, or engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, architectural and engineering drawings, design review, and construction coordination.
• Experience reviewing change orders and coordinating tenant improvements with base-building construction.
• Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks independently with minimal direction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to interact with senior management, clients, tenants, contractors, and consultants.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam or PlanGrid, and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to function effectively in a highly collaborative, matrixed real estate development and construction environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, high-rise, mid-rise, podium, wrap, garden-style, or ground-up development projects.
• Knowledge of real estate investment, development, asset management, property management, and building operations.
• Experience with Procore, Autodesk Build, Primavera P6, or other construction project management platforms.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, constructability reviews, value engineering, cost control, project scheduling, QA/QC, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Knowledge of permitting, entitlements, building codes, construction administration, and design coordination.
• Experience coordinating general contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, tenants, operators, and government authorities.
• Experience with concrete construction, post-tensioned slabs, structured parking, or wood-frame residential construction.
