Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, part of HII, seeks an experienced leader to oversee operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison among project management, planning and line management. The role emphasizes strengthening the division's training program, onboarding, knowledge sharing, and engagement across engineers, technicians and designers.

The incumbent will advance technical training, document processes, support migration projects, and help reduce attrition while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of exempt experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• No security clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaises between project management and planning.
• Reviews project budgets, schedules and prepares status reports; develops resolutions for issues.
• Supports onboarding, training, knowledge sharing and cross‑functional coordination within the division.
