Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. (HII) Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee ongoing programs and coordinate between project management, planning and line management.

You will monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables while driving issue resolution with clients and teams. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with several years of progressive supervisory experience or a Master's with relevant background in defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
• Equivalent qualifications may include: Associate's degree with 2 years exempt experience or 4 years non-exempt; Military Paygrade E-5+; High School/GED with 4 years in related fields; High School/GED with 8 years in related fields

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews project status, budgets, schedules and prepares status reports; develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develops mechanisms to monitor progress and coordinate problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
