Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd’s client seeks an experienced logistics leader to oversee major and minor projects, optimize shipments, and coordinate multi-modal transport strategies across ports and suppliers. Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation administration/operations experience.
• Experience in heavy haul, barge, rail, ports, or crane & rigging preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• TWIC eligibility and ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics operations for major/minor projects and spot loads.
• Manage project costing, budgets, schedules, planning, and risk.
• Lead customer RFQs/RFPs and supplier bidding, evaluation, and negotiations.
• Develop transportation strategies and route plans across multiple modes.
• Manage relationships with ocean carriers, heavy haul, crane & rigging, barge, and rail partners.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop project logistics plans, schedules, presentations, and reports.
• Coordinate shipments, POs, insurance compliance, and cargo tracking.
• Analyze shipping data, P&L, trends, and lessons learned to improve future projects.
• Travel to sites, ports, and suppliers as required.
