Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field required.
• 15+ years of experience in lead management for a construction CM at Risk firm.
• Experience leading multiple project teams on large-scale projects.
• Proficient in cost reporting.
• Thorough understanding and usage of Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of scheduling software

Responsibilities

• Utilize industry contacts and relationships to generate leads and pursue business development opportunities.
• Lead the work acquisition process including profitability plans, coordination with inter-department staff, proposal development, and interview preparation management.
• Identify and communicate RFP pursuit strategy to inform project approach, staffing, estimates, risks, schedules, and logistics.
• Assign staff to properly manage project scope and complexities.
• Oversee preconstruction phase with teams to develop budgets, schedules, logistics, risks, and constructability reviews.
• Provide oversight across all project phases from preconstruction to close-out.
• Establish customer satisfaction action plan and ensure proper execution.
• Identify challenges and propose solutions to achieve project objectives and profitability.
• Negotiate owner contracts and oversee subcontract development.
• Provide high-level supervision across multiple projects and lead as needed.
• Attend weekly owner meetings and visit project sites to monitor performance, costs, schedule, quality and profitability.
• Maintain client contact to encourage communication and gauge team performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and coach staff and perform semi-annual performance evaluations.
• Ensure staff compliance with SOPs and assist in hiring.
